The celestial journey begins over the South Pacific Ocean, and if the weather permits, the first location in continental North America to witness totality will be Mexico’s Pacific coast at approximately 11:07 a.m. PDT.
The eclipse’s path continues through the United States, entering in Texas and weaving its way through Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. Canada will experience the eclipse in Southern Ontario, with the journey spanning through Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Cape Breton. The eclipse bids farewell to continental North America on the Atlantic coast of Newfoundland, Canada, at 5:16 p.m. NDT.
