Last night was the first night of our vacation here. My husband and I came to unwind and celebrate our anniversary and let me tell you, the moment we walked through our privacy fence, I could feel tension start leaving me. This place is everything I hoped for. There were a few bumps, however the staff is so accommodating, that I didn't even mind the issues. To list the issues, there was a problem with the TV and they offered to exchange it for a new one on the spot, or wait until we were ready for them to exchange it. It was our call. That consideration was appreciated. We opted to wait and let us continue to enjoy each other's company without the TV. The other issue was a last minute cancelation with a masseuse, and they are working to correct it and reschedule our massages. Both issues are hardly issues in my eyes. I just wanted to explain the care they put into accommodating their guests. On to the good stuff: the kitchen set up is tiny, yet absolutely perfect for couples. It is a bare minimum set up, and exactly what is needed for couples to not stress about making dinner. Just grill something and have some sides, wash up and move on to relaxing. The yurt is very spacious and beautiful. However, my husband and I are only inside of it to sleep. The bed is very soft. That may cause my husband some pain, as he needs firm, but it's heaven to me. The bathroom is just as simple as the kitchen set up, but large enough to not feel trapped inside. The outdoor shower is one of the most relaxing things I have ever used. To hear nature and feel the elements while washing away the stresses of the day is just so peaceful. The views are breath taking, the hot tub melts your muscles from tension. I have never seen my husband so relaxed in all of our years together. I am not sure I have ever been this at peace either. This place is simple, yet extraordinary; The perfect place to unplug, unwind, and just breathe. This is where couples can disconnect from all outside distraction and enjoy one on one time. Far away from everyday life, but with wifi if you need to be reachable for emergencies. Pretty sure my retirement game plan has changed. The Lord sure knew my husband and I needed this place for this weekend.
